		<description>Thank you. You were the first one to ever really speak to me. Everyone says &quot;Just do it, it sucks for a year or more, I still want them.&quot; Not hard to see why that can scare the crap out of me. But deep down I know I am stronger. There are lots of things I used to do that I don&#039;t anymore and the wanting for them is very rarely and frail at best.

But you captured what no one else talks about. The fear of having no smokes. I bought my smokes 11 cartons at a time, and I freak out trying to find a way to get more when I am down to my last carton. I am sick of the fear, I am sick of asking strangers to help me because the people in my life are jerks.

I have been cutting back and mentally preparing to quit for days now. I have been frowning, I wanted to cry. I was so scared. Then my ladies days arrived.. Doh. Talk about transference. It isn&#039;t as scary now. But I have cramps hehehe
I know, too much information but the transference point seems important too for some reason.

Meaning if PMS can feel like fear and depression about smokes. What else can? They could be depressed or have social anxiety disorder and be untreated and that causes a lot of fear. A big one is they fit in with smokers and find nonsmokers pretentious and up tight. That could be a HUGE subconscious factor. Most of us started smoking to be part of that crowd, the ones that accepted more than just their &quot;click&quot;. Where will they fit in if they quit? Will they become obnoxious too? Etc
So that can be transferred in to fear of having no smokes instead of dealing with the real issue.

You should make an article to address these fears as well, since you are knowledgeable. They hold you back a lot too. Going over them one by one with better ways of thinking to apply to these fears would help a great deal of people. The ones I find are almost FAKE like &quot;I wont have anything to do on my lunch break&quot;. Whatever, that&#039;s not a fear. Try &quot;What if I feel like crap forever???&quot; on for size. Come worry with the big boys lol
One of my other worries is &quot;What if I live until I am 90, or die in three months miserable for a cigarette?&quot;

I hope this finds you well, or finds you at all seeing as though this post is 9 months old lol

		<description>Hi Yvonne,
Thanks for the comment and it&#039;s good that you took the time to share your thoughts with everyone...thanks for that especially.

Why did you &quot;really fancy&quot; a ciggie?

I know why...I really fancied ciggies too... but I never did it because I worked out that you&#039;re not really fancying a ciggie its just that your nervous system, your sub-conscious mind and your decision has not completely eliminated the monster.

Let me explain ...

It&#039;s true that ex-smokers will always be ex-smokers fancying a ciggie if they or you for example, don&#039;t completely eliminate the one thing that was put there in our minds, brains and bodies by the tobacco companies.

That thing is the &quot;Drug Monster&quot;

 ...it&#039;s like an ex-soccer player who walks down a street in his 50&#039;s and sees a bunch of kids playing soccer...boy does he want to join in!

But he doesn&#039;t ...but he also hopes that as he passes, the ball may go astray towards him and he gets that unique moment, where he can put foot to ball and kick it back to the kids in style.
Show the kids that this old log still has it!!

You see this ex soccer player never let go deep inside of soccer..his life was soccer..his body was soccer and he ate slept and dreamt soccer. So it will always be there. His nervous system keeps it because he allows it to stay. He still wants to play soccer because the soccer player never died. He never killed him. Are you getting my drift Yvonne?

Smokers who fail to stop smoking fall back into smoking because they truly didn&#039;t kill or eliminate the &quot;Drug Monster&quot;.
They didnt focus on the change of state that a non smoker has...they didnt focus on the future...they didnt focus on the new life that they have discovered. They didnt change their identity completely.

They didnt change where they go socially by introducing new places..new activities, new energetic hobbies, finding new friends..real friends that say the right things. Real friends that do anything to avoid their friend being tricked again. Not people who almost make bets about your health.

Your are 10 weeks into a life that is pure exstacy...vibrant..healthy...longer...colourful...energetic...better than a smokers life for sure. You see..smokers don&#039;t have control over their lives.

These are the things that you should always &quot;Really Fancy&quot; Yvonne.

You have dignity, confidence, character and the power to make decisions that have saved your life.

Don&#039;t hold onto a past that could kill you if you went back to it. Clean your nervous system...your brain..your thoughts..your body and soul of that &quot;Drug Monster&quot;

Do what I did...go outside and put your arms out wide and your head high and breathe deeply then shout out a loud &quot;YEEEEAAAAHHH IM AN EX-SMOKER ...FREE AND MY LIFE IS MINE&quot; !!!

Celebrate Yvonne, celebrate... then...just kill off &quot;Drug Monster&quot; for good...and tell ya friend to help or shuttup..and read this. :)

Good luck Yvonne
